Blower Door Testing

Blower Door testing is an important tool in understanding your home performance.  In pre-existing homes it is important in finding air leakage, which spray foam can fix, and will result in the most energy savings for your home. 

In new homes with spray foam being installed.  Blower door testing in a must.  Spray foam works so well at air sealing that in many cases, make up air will be needed.  A blower door test will help determine how much make up air is required.  Keep in mind, make up air is a good thing, because you have control over the air entering your home.  Most homes don't require make up air because they are getting too much air entering from dusty, dirty and moist cracks or holes located throughout their home.  You want to have control over the air quality in your home.  Blower door tests will help you find those locations and spray foam will fix it.
